Unsettling night
I didn’t sleep particularly well last night. I believe it was the consequence of a rather unpredictable and unrestful ending to the evening. I tried to push away thoughts that kept attacking me in a constant flow. Eventually my fatigue put an end to it and I drifted into sleep. 2 hours later, around 3 am, Sebastian woke up for a feeding. I fed him and went back to sleep. The night was plagued with unsettling dreams. At one point I woke up from Reinout’s voice, asking me in an accusing voice what I had done with Sebastian. “Do you know where he is? Do you?” he asked. His voice was hard. Sebastian was in his cot of course. He seemed content with that answer and we both fell asleep again. Perhaps he was was dreaming, or perhaps I was, but it all seemed very real.
Sometime after 6 I was awake again. Sebastian had woken up and it was just a matter of time before he would start crying. Although I was exhausted I couldn’t sleep afterwards. So I got ready and hit the gym, working out as hard as I could to expel the demons that had possessed the night.
Coming home I feel exhausted. But there is no time for rest. A new action list is waiting, and an appointment with the child consultant for Sebastian. Later in the evening I have my salsa class. At least something to look forward to in an otherwise gloomy day.

When you have a baby you have to count that the nights sometimes are sleepless….;)
When you are hitting the gym and dancing salsa, do you have a nanny then, that would be nice if you have a good nanny.

Well, most of the times Reinout is looking after Sebastian then. Mostly I’m gone for no more than an hour and a bit. But if not, my neighbour has two older daughters who often do babysitting for us.
Yes I hope to come to Sweden too soon! I have to check if Reinout has any business there that needs to be attended to
