Priorities for the week
I’ve been thinking about the priorities in my life right now. I’m the kind of person that needs organisation in order to function. If I don’t have that I lose the overview easily. I’m also more visual than verbal so I need to have things written down, preferably in pie chats and process flows, in order to take it to my heart and execute. The last months in fact year now has been anything but organised. Because life changed so much so I never really managed to get a routine to things. For the first time, I feel this can actually change. So I’ve made a commitment to write my priorities down in a visual, simple way, in the beginning of every week
Work: I haven’t had much time to concentrate fully on OnlineSalsa. It’s something that will still be difficult in the coming weeks, but main priority now is overview and execution. Meeting main priorities and deadline for the launch which is set to mid April. Also for me to get into the eight hour working mode again, I need a new spot (away from the bedroom) to sit at. Another indispensible item is a daily task list. It’s always given me structure at work for the day but somehow it has been forgotten in the last months. Well it’s back again!
Family: Victoria needs structure for home and school. This is something we are working with her on. We’ve set up a weekly overview of the tasks and responsibilities she has at home. This is something we will be follow closely together as well as working on a good program for improving her reading and writing.
Health: My main goal is to get back into shape after the pregnancy. I’m right now on 59.5 kg and my end goal is 52 kg by the end of April. In the coming months I plan to go 3-4 times per week to the gym and also introduce running again 1-2 times per week. I also need to stick to my diet, although at times it’s more difficult than I anticipated. Just another 6 weeks to go!
Another issue, is my breastfeeding, which is quite painful and as a result is not working as it should. This is another priority to resolve this week. Shorter feedings, varied with formula and pumping. God this sounds so glamorous….NOT!
Other: Little to no computering whilst watching TV. And certainly no computering or working whilst breastfeeding.
We have a party coming up on Saturday, so unless against all odds I manage to loose all the baby weight in 4 days and I can slip into one of my old dresses, I need a new one. I shall go on a hunt for this on Thursday.
