Paris here I come!
I’m so excited! Tomorrow Reinout , Sebastian and I are going to Paris. The city I have a long lasting love affair with. In fact it’s beyond love….adoration and worship more like it. We are making a small stop in between as we have some appointments to attend to. I managed to find a small, but well appointed hotel called Chateau de l’Hermitage in Ennery, 35km north of Paris.
We arrive in Paris Friday evening and will meet up with J, a good friend of ours who lives in St. Germain. It was difficult getting hold of a hotel in Paris due to fashion week, but I managed to lay my hands on the last room at Hotel Saint Germain des Prés.
Paris is great, especially in the autumn. It also holds very special memories for me and Reinout. That fateful trip, when Reinout picked me up at the Malpenza airport in Milano and drove me to Juan les Pins where he was staying for MIP Com…that trip ended in Paris. It’s the city where I accidentally stabbed him (he still keeps the jeans with a small hole in one of the legs as a memory - and yes it was an accident!!). It’s the city where we almost ended up at some crazy party (or at least I did, if Reinout wouldn’t have rescued me…yes too many drinks and my mind was lost). It’s also the city where Reinout was driving a little bike for a 4 year old in and out of stores creating quite a scene among conservative Parisians. Yes the memories are great and many….
As it’s fashion week I shall have to pack chic, which is obviously not synonymous to packing light. And I shan’t miss the Christian Louboutin store this time around. For the occasion I’ve also had my nails done. Bright red nails looks great in the autumn with pale skin and blonde hair. Paris, here I come!
