Luxury consumption
I was challenged for a walk today, all in the name of “getting your fat ass out of bed”. It’s true, I did a bit of contemplating over the whole thing. I have been so busy focusing on onlinesalsa.com, a site that should be launch in 4-6 weeks from now, that I have not given childbirth a proper chance. I am convinced it will be next week and then after having made an appointment with the hospital. So I need a shift in mindset. Exercise is good, and what better exercise than going shopping? I haven’t done that since Christmas. I went to my favourite shop in Haarlem, Players Collections. They sell a mix of exclusive brands which I really like, DKNY, ETRO, LALTRAMODA, Patrizia Pepe, and DAY to name but a few. In fact I went there to get a Valentines present for Reinout, which after some debate we settled for a striped summer shirt.
The sale is almost over and was left to a corner in the back of the shop. I didn’t have really high expectations of finding something, and after having gone through all items hanging on the rack came to the last garment. A lamb fur vest from DKNY with a price tag of a mere EUR 250;- (after an 80% discount had been applied). I couldn’t believe my luck! The other customer in the store even offered to buy it for EUR 300;-. No way in hell I would let that happen, and I quickly pulled out my card as if the vest would evaporate before my very eyes.
To top it all off, Reinout got me a Diptyque candle and the latest Vanity Fair for my afternoon consumption. I’m now going to enjoy my magazine and a hot bath!
