Late night work – early morning
I slept my usual 5 hours, as I didn’t get to bed before 2 am. The laundry was still going as Caroline is coming today and the laundry needs to be prepared before then. But I was also working away on a business plan, as I find myself to be most creative after 10 pm when the house is finally quiet. That’s the moment I park myself in bed with a cup of coffee and a small biscuit, a Diptyque candle flickering next to my bed and just work away. I almost finished the draft plan, but as always I couldn’t go to bed without a bit of winding down. So I continued playing my game du jour – Brick Breaker on Facebook, beating all my friends to the pulp with my new score. Satisfaction was instant and complete!
I woke up at 6.50 from Sebastian crying. I dragged myself out of bed to give him a bottle. I had 10 minutes before the alarm clock would go off, and decided to maximise my sleep for those last, pitiful minutes. But at 7 I was up, chasing through the house, doing another set of laundry before I took off for the gym. 2.5 hours later and I feel pretty energetic. I’m on my way to work in Amsterdam, for a new day of fun and games!
Diptyque Tubereuse – a classic!
