Introducing child labour to meet deadlines

After 36 hours of not blogging – I’M BACK!! But don’t expect a fresh rose, posing in front of the mirror tho show off her Karen Millen dress or Dior pumps. Today I’m in bed, after a quick wash and go session (and in this case I’m only talking about my face). Luckily I’m working from home (just like the day before). Yesterday was just an ongoing battle between doing some research, answering emails and chasing after Sebastian, who starts showing off hyperactive tendencies. I was left beaten at 7.30 pm when I was ready with an hour’s cooking of Swedish meatballs for the family.

My husband was happy and content, and moved himself to the sitting room for a some mindless TV watching. I went upstairs to take a shower and continue work. As the action list is growing out of proportions, despite my “Just do it now!” mentality, and planning for longer tasks (I’ve started to become pretty good at time management), I got the brilliant idea of introducing Victoria to OnlineSalsa.

All well and done. Certain sites, which has great lists of websites, clubs, events and other information, she is going through accumulating information of interest. It’s a daunting task, I wouldn’t have time for myself, let alone be able to pay someone to do it. But Victoria is pretty excited at the tender age of 11 being introduced to the world of business. I installed the Open Office Suite on her computer (Reinout was seriously impressed of my advancing technical skills) and gave her a brief tutorial of Excel. Two hours later, she had done the first page (out of about 30!), but had harvested a number of sites and useful info. I couldn’t help but feeling proud for my little girl, and of course the prospect of earning 50 euros is quite motivational! Mind though, it’s all performance based pricing, as she needs to reach her targets. If she exceeds them, a bonus will kick in. Like Mother like daughter, heh… ☺
