I’m being spoiled
I finally feel like I’m hitting earth again, although it’s my intention to keep this feeling of utter bliss for as long as I can, preferably a lifetime. Even though I’ve felt pretty tired today, I managed to clean out my inbox of about 200 emails, most of which were related to the birth of Sebastian. Next week I’d like to resume some normality. In fact tomorrow, we plan to hit town for the first time with Sebastian. I haven’t been out for almost a week now, and I’d die for some fresh air. If possible, I will start with power walks next week. It will be perfect taking Sebastian for a stroll in training gear.
The last few days we’ve had many gifts and flowers sent to us. Reinout has also been spoiling me, and yesterday I got a beautiful Tibetan box which will be our memory box for Sebastian, saving the most precious momentums such as a lock of his hair, his first tooth, special toys and clothes etc. On top of it is hanging the Hamsa sometimes better known as the hand of Fatima – welcoming the good spirits at the same time warding off the evil ones. I’m not directly superstitious but I love to integrate the ancient cultural traditions in our urban life. Today Reinout send me on a treasure hunt, under the pretence of giving me some exercise. Eventually after almost giving up I found a small little parcel in his cigar box. It contained the diamond ring that we selected a week ago. Now with Sebastian’s name inscribed. I wear it together with my wedding ring on my left hand, closest to my heart!
