I’ve always been surprised when I hear of housewives getting a burn out. But I have drastically changed my opinion. It’s tough being a stay-at-home mum. Even tougher than having a fulltime job. At least then I had an excuse for my inferior cooking and an unkept home. At this point I’m ready to throw in the towel in return for an office job. If it’s not feedings, it’s nappy changes, attending to a crying baby, heaps of laundry, and the quality time that one should spend with the little ones. It doesn’t end. By the late afternoon I am exhausted. I have a sore throat and blocked sinuses too. And my day isn’t over yet. In 15 minutes I have to start cooking dinner. Then there is more laundry followed by emails to friends and acquaintances because as a stay-at-home mum one should have an active social life. So on that note I got to rush. I have an appointment with the kitchen…
