Easter weekend with friends & family
Once in a while, you need one of those long weekends to catch up on sleep, family and friends. They are perfect battery chargers, boosting your energy, breaking those bad patterns and eliminating negative vibes.
Easter turned out in many ways to be a mini-life saver. After weeks of struggling with sleep, completely draining my energy both physically and mentally, I finally put some focus and effort on what I should have done a long time ago, myself and my family. Jonathan, a good friend of ours from Paris, was over, and with lots to catch up on we spent our days in good company having lunches and dinners in Haarlem.
We started our Easter celebration on Good Friday at Restaurant Ludic.
On Saturday Jonathan arrived. I spent most of the afternoon snoozing in bed with Sebastian before I met up with the guys for dinner.
Easter Sunday started off with an egg hunt for Victoria. After this we enjoyed a fantastic Easter breakfast, with Easter bread, eggs, and Prosecco, which Reinout had put together. Later we went into town for a walk and visit at the modern museum de Hallen, which featured some different installations with the common theme of piano music and chess. Later we went to Stempels, which has rapidly become one of our favourite restaurants in Haarlem. Classic French and international cuisine in a fantastic historical environment, which used to house an old print factory from the early 1700.
Easter Monday was equally slow-paced, when we went the Amsterdamse Bos (Amsterdam forest) with the dogs. The weather was glorious, making it well suited for a long walk. I came home feeling blissfully tired and went to bed for a snooze. A perfect ending to a relaxed weekend!

reply to this commentHello Maryan, Nice to hear that you like my blog! The purple chairs I bought a few years ago. They are in linnen which keeps itself really well. I’ve seen recently similar chairs here in Holland, but unfortunately I don’t know what they are called. Will be on the look out though! You have a great blog too! I love lifestyle, design and interior decoration so I shall for sure be visiting your site more frequently.
