Contractions?
It’s 5.35 and so far haven’t got any sleep. Contractions started around 1.30 AM, although I’m not really sure they are contractions. More like a heavy pain in my back and abdomen. Eventually, after exhausting Reinout with my moaning I went downstairs. He is now sleeping like a lamb…God I envy him! In some way I just want to get this over and done with but at the same time I also want sleep. I’m also terrible with handling pain. I start hyperventilating, crying, and my body starts convulsing. I wish I was brave but I’m not.
In any case now I am here on the couch, moderately comfortable. I have just eaten the last of our Swedish gingerbread along with some left over stale candy. Reinout came down. I don’t think this is really what he has expected. He wants me to come upstairs. But I rather go through with this on my own than feeling that I’m robbing him from his sleep. Perhaps completely illogical but then again logic is not something I am concerned with at the moment.
Instead I am browsing for information on contractions, and I am timing them. What I have just noticed is that they seem to diminish, instead of strengthening. Perhaps I should try to get some sleep…
