Coincidence or providence?
I don’t know if it was my self-imposed morning therapy that did it, but today has been a super day. You know one of those days, when you feel a heavy stone lifting from your chest which leaves you both light and exhilarated Well that sums up my day. After the sadness had lifted I felt incredibly happy. Seeing this in print as a write, it looks more like a clear case of borderline personality disorder. But given the raised levels of hormones running riots in my body I shall put it down to my pregnant state.
As usual I went for my lunch at Victor’s and along with my latest reading material – Lullabies for little Criminals by Heather O’Neill. The novel has completely gripped me from the start, and as I was reading waiting for my lunch to arrive, I felt myself transported to the streets of Montreal where Baby, the novels protagonist spends her days and nights. Lullabies for little Criminals has a very matter-of-fact, no nonsense prose, and yet it’s this that grips you and makes you share the joys and sorrows of a 12 year old kid abandoned by family and society. Zero 7 was playing in the background which suited the narrative to perfection.
I eventually managed to tear myself away from the book and went home, happy and content. At home I finished off a draft plan, and run myself a bath. With camera in hand I posed in front of the mirror whilst listening to my favourite play list. Once again Zero 7 was on with In the waiting line. Coincidence or providence?

A book and a hot bath - perfect!

Let’s have some fun with the camera

Work that pose…

Looking good…

Oh oh - is someone coming?
