Gatecrashing the party

Posted by: fracas on March 3 @ 6:00 pm

My rhythm has changed from late nights and 7.30 am wake-ups to early nights and waking up before 6 am. It’s not so bad actually. The gym is already buzzing with activity from jet lagged business people when I get there just after 6 o’clock. I do my usual routine for an hour before I [...]

San Francisco reflections…

Posted by: fracas on February 28 @ 6:53 am

It’s weird, bordering to the insane to watch the Oscars normal time. At 8.30 pm the award cermony is over and I almost feel cheated. I’m left with an overwhelming “is this really it?” feeling. On the plus side I’m sitting glued to the telly watching the stars from the afterparties. It’s something Europe is [...]

Reinout te Brake wife

Posted by: fracas on February 9 @ 5:38 pm

I am sitting at my computer, and for some obscure reason, (which I have forgotten now as the aftermath totally eclipsed the original idea), I decided to Google my husbands name. As Google is becoming more and more intelligent, it is propting some different search combinations, which apparently has a relatively high search volume. It [...]

Men and their vanities

Posted by: fracas on November 30 @ 5:04 pm

I was going through some of my recently taken pictures and came across an incredibly cute one of Reinout and Sebastian waiting at the hairdresser. Needless to say, it ends up on the blog. That and the statement that Reinout blurted out the other day… Reinout: “Do you think I look younger when I have [...]

Finding Peace

Posted by: fracas on November 28 @ 12:28 pm

The room is filling with noise. Somewhere I have a vague feeling a bath is being made up. I pull the duvet even closer around my ears to block out the constant stream of aural input. I think it works for about half an hour. Then my husband wakes me up slowly. He’s whispering sweet [...]

Is it really too much to ask for a clean penis?

Posted by: fracas on November 26 @ 5:29 pm

When I started this blog, I wanted it to be an outlet for whatever popped up in my mind. It was my own little experiment. Could I really write about everything openly and honestly online? The first part was rather easy. Yes, you can write about anything. And from my own experience, the bolder you [...]

Another lonely evening **spilling the beans warning**

Posted by: fracas on November 25 @ 8:12 pm

We definitely have an ongoing trend with verbal arguments, walk outs and cold shoulders. In fact our house (lets not call it a home anymore *sarcasm*) is in a permanent perma-frost state. The times the sun is shining is doing little to melt the enormous iceberg. Perhaps it’s my medication (I recently started taking something [...]

WTF Happened? Part II

Posted by: fracas on November 21 @ 11:29 am

…WTF Happened? Well, Reinout came home. I was spying on him from the sitting room as he was searching for his wallet before leaving the cab. As he made his way to the door, I hid in a corner in the study. Just as he passed me I came out with a boohoo. It scared [...]

WTF happened?

Posted by: fracas on November 19 @ 9:20 pm

I’m completely exhausted, walking home in anger after a disrupted dinner. I was suppose to have an evening out with my husband but something went wrong (someone was a tad too drunk #@$%^&*!) and I’m now at home, on my own in bed. WTF happened? Perhaps solitude is the only viable option?

The road to sanity

Posted by: fracas on October 3 @ 11:39 am

There are times when insanity is closer than you think. When thoughts are walking on a tightrope of clarity and despair. Every little roadblock becomes a hugh mountain, and I realise I am not a mountaineer, I’m not even a hiker, and extreme sports is as far away from this chic’s horizon as that illusive [...]
