WTF happened?

Posted by: fracas on November 19 @ 9:20 pm

I’m completely exhausted, walking home in anger after a disrupted dinner. I was suppose to have an evening out with my husband but something went wrong (someone was a tad too drunk #@$%^&*!) and I’m now at home, on my own in bed. WTF happened? Perhaps solitude is the only viable option?

The reminiscence of an affair

Posted by: fracas on September 12 @ 3:27 pm

The first time I came across an album of Putumayo was in a small lunch cafe on a side street off the Haarlem market square. It was one of those cafes that takes great pride in their organic coffee, vitamin infused smoothies and vegetarian sandwiches. Each time I walked through the door to order a [...]

The scent that makes the man

Posted by: fracas on July 14 @ 10:08 am

In inspiration of a question I got about scents for men I decided to raid my husband’s stack of fragrances, which often on either my encouragement or initiative has been added to my husbands already existing collection. A good fragrance pour homme is equally easy as it is difficult to find. The good news is [...]

The return of Pierce Brosnan

Posted by: fracas on November 2 @ 2:03 pm

Women go through phases of men, but in the end tend to stick to a certain kind. At least so is the case with me. There was the experimental phase, when anything went. It’s also the phase which in my more mature years I have tried to put behind me. “Did I sleep with him? [...]

Men and movies

Posted by: fracas on November 1 @ 9:29 pm

Why is it that men can’t be relied upon to find a good movie? Reinout had already selected a film for us to see, and it was no idea to protest, so I went along with it….Lost City Raiders. It was one of the worst movies I’ve seen since… well a few months back when [...]

What men REALLY want

Posted by: fracas on September 13 @ 10:55 am

Mrs Wallis Simpson, the American-born Duchess of Windsor, once said, “You can never be too rich or too thin.” It’s a pretty controversial statement (in regards to the latter part), more than ever seeing how Hollywood stars are starving themselves beyond the illusive size 0. But as a woman, you see things in a completely [...]

Can I have your husband for 20 min?

Posted by: fracas on September 11 @ 12:51 pm

And so ended our evening…one that started at the winebar sipping champagne and good wine. And after hours of savouring on gourmet food at Stempels, we couldn’t help but venturing around the corner to check out the redlight. It was in full commerce, as busy as the Haarlem redlight ever gets, meaning the occasional single [...]

Valentine woes – not a worry!

Posted by: fracas on February 13 @ 11:18 am

So here it is again, Valentines, the biggest commercial fraud history has ever witnessed. And this time there is no Valentine present. I was under the impression that the biggest present ever would be here, but oh no, life had another plan in store. So I need to dedicate some time today to a) find [...]

On a date

Posted by: fracas on February 12 @ 5:42 pm

We had a long lunch, at one of the restaurants at the market square. Every time I go there, I feel like I’m on a date with Reinout. It’s an odd feeling, making me feel hot and cold at the same time. After all, our first real date started there; in a grand cafe on [...]

Steven Segal and Men – a never ending love affair?

Posted by: fracas on February 10 @ 9:52 pm

…I ask myself after our latest domestic episode. Reinout took control of the remote, and started zapping. I was expecting an interesting show like CSI or Cold Case.  Instead I found myself watching a Steven Segal Movie – some Mercenary for Justice that scored 4.1 on IMDB. I should be grateful I know, it could [...]
