Bedtime atmosphere and a little bit about perfumes
I can report back on a very relaxed evening, Shamelessly relaxed, bubble bath, a glass of wine (I know some people are going to disagree on that one), and two films, The air that I breath with an outstanding cast and Rendition, a film with a political message, although not as “dense” as Syriana. I came upstairs and Reinout had lighted a Tubereuse Dyptique candle next to my side of the bed. It smells heavenly and will surely get me to sleep. Tuberose is my favourite essence when it comes to fragrances. You must have noticed given the name of the blog, but if not I shall tell you that the Queen of all tuberose perfumes is Fracas. There are of course other great ones, and I shall not even attempt to give you a long list, but a few to consider are Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Tubéreuse, Caron Tubéreuse (by far my favourite perfume house), Serge Lutens Tubéreuse Criminelle (which I can’t vouch for but have a reputation of being a corrupt version of Tuberose). For those that find Fracas hard to find should look for Versace Blonde, which is the high street copy cat and very similar to the real thing. Apologies for spinning off on perfumes, like this. It deserves a separate entry on it’s own which I am sure I will come to in the not too distant future.
But coming back on the original subject. I am now in bed, relaxed, having just finished my to-do-list for tomorrow and feeling good. In other words, all is as it should. Peace has finally descended upon us.
