All is not lost…yet

Help! I’m getting bold. It started about a month ago. At first a few extra strands of hair when I showered. But then more and more started to come off, and now I literally get a handful of hair every time I wash or brush it. The worst part is that two bold spots are spreading just above my temples. Reinout thinks it’s quite hilarious but ensured me he will still love me even though I’m bold. I on the other hand don’t share his amusement. Going bold is my worst nightmare. I even started researching hair transplants to ensure myself that there is a solution in case worst case scenario strikes.

But there is light, and equally light has been shed on this mysterious hair loss. First of all the bold spots are luckily being filled with fresh baby hair. They’re tiny, and almost white (well luckily light blond…I don’t know if I could cope with becoming white too), but at least they are coming back. Secondly the sudden hair loss is quite a normal thing to go through after a pregnancy. And it happens around the 4th month after birth and continues for approximately 2 months. So another month to go. I’m just afraid that by the time I’m there I won’t have any hair left…

I’m all for bold! Being bold is one of the ingredients in the secret sauce of success. Going bald, however, is something that could indeed be your nightmare…! ;)
